1. Trip Meter:
Trip Meter is located in the speedometer dial box, under or above the odometer. It is just similar to the odometer. But we can reset it to zero, after measuring the distance between one point to others or anytime when we want. Usually, in analogue type speedometer clusters having only one trip meter. But in Digital clusters, sometimes two trip meters are provided. People really don’t know how to and why to use the trip meter?
2. Fuel Tank Reserve:
Almost all bikes having a Fuel Tank reserve valve or indicator. In some bikes having digital or analogue fuel indicator, some having a reserve valve, and some having both. When the fuel tank almost empty, we need to turn the valve to the reserve. This is the indication to refuel before the tank will empty. With the reserved amount of fuel, we can drive the bike for a few miles or kilometres only. In a digital fuel indicator, the fuel sign will blink continuously. This is a reminder for refuelling. If the driver ignores this warning, he/she may need to suffer from bike pushing.

3. Pass Light Switch:
A quick push switch on the left-hand side handlebar in almost all bikes turns on the high beam lamp while pressing and turns off while releasing. This switch is located just near the index finger, on left-hand side handlebar. It is used in two situations:
1. On the narrow or curvy path, when a vehicle is coming from the front, and you need a way to pass him. That time you should use this switch, the front vehicle gives you a path as possible. Usually, it is also used on double lane road to request the slow down of the front vehicle driver.
2. When our vehicle is faster than the vehicle ahead, and we need enough way to overtake it, that time we should use this switch to indicate the driver.

But High beam light should not need to ON without any proper reasons. Using the high beam unnecessarily is so dangerous for others. Let see when should we need to use the high beams.
The reason for using the high beam is to get a clear view at the night for long-distance. Where no other source of light will available. If there is any vehicle in the 200-300 meter range, then you should have to switch the low beam. If you are driving on city roads, where road lights are available. You should use low beam headlamps. When you taking a turn on a curvy road, you can use high beam light just for seconds, to get a clear vision. We will discuss in detail in our next article what are reasons to use high beam headlights.

Parking Lights are also known as Positioning lamps. These lamps are used to indicate the vehicle position either parked or a vehicle is moving. A switch having a telltale, it means a bulb having less intensity than the headlamp (~7W or less) in Headlamp. And rear brake lamp with low intensity and registration plate lamp will turn on. Usually, it is used when the headlamp is turned off or bikes having a sidecar.
6. Adjustable Rear Shock Absorber:
The rear shock absorbers having adjustable cutouts, either on the top or bottom end. Some bike having 7,5,4 or 3 way adjustments. And in the shallow groove, the suspension will smother.
